| Qualifications |
Primary focus of this position is to facilitate that nursing clinical
standards of care and practice are met through educational and support
processes for medical-surgical unit personnel. The clinical specialist
works
to incorporate current evidence based practice and JCAHO standards to
develop and revise plans for all aspects of orientation, and ongoing
competency management. This role consistently works collaboratively with
clinical managers and staff to meet targeted nursing quality care
indicators. In addition, the individual in this position will assume
responsibilities for leading processes associated with the
interdisciplinary
stroke team, which includes monitoring of the clinical management of
patient
care and coordination of chart abstraction.
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and current CT RN license
required. BSN preferred. Master's degree or Master's in progress
required,
preferably in Nursing.
