CLN has been a leader in Connecticut nursing education for decades. A commitment that began with traditional diploma and degree programs has now grown to include continuing educational opportunities for nurses at each stage of their careers. Online Learning: Log in and learn!
Professional Continuing Education
CLN is rolling out the first in a series of online educational opportunities for nurses. These courses can be taken completely online wherever and whenever it is most convenient for you. Continuing education credit approved by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) is available for many of the leadership and management offerings. Our goal is to roll out more leadership development offerings and clinical updates online as well. If you would like to suggest topics for the future, please e-mail us.
Online Homecare Programs
Transitioning to a clinical specialty practice is challenging for both the nurse and the organization that needs to educate the nurse. CLN currently offers a course in home care nursing, in conjunction with Charter Oak State College, and we are piloting a course in perioperative nursing, which should be available in early 2007.
Refresher Courses
Nurses who have been away from clinical practice can update their skills with one of the CLN Refresher Courses: LPN Refresher or RN Refresher. Classroom content is provided online, and after successfully completing the online modules, participants can then apply for the third module, which is supervised clinical practice providing direct patient care.
