Doctoral Study
There are two doctoral programs in nursing in Connecticut at the University of Connecticut (Storrs) and at Yale University (New Haven)
Both programs award the Doctor of Philosophy degree. Yale is phasing out its Doctor of Nursing Science, and is no longer admitting students to that course of study.
Yale requires a Master's in nursing or its equivalent to enter the doctoral program. UConn has, in addition, a BS to PhD program which requires applicants to have a bachelor's degree in nursing.
